Because the table turns in order for the pallet be wrapped, inconsistent stacking or pallets that have items that hang over the edge may cause product to shirt during wrapping or potentially risk damage to the items. Overall, turntable wrappers offer lower costs and smaller foot prints.

Rotary Arm Stretch Wrappers

Rotary Arm style semi-automatic stretch wrappers operate with a stationary pallet and a rotating arm that circles the pallet and applies stretch film without moving the pallet itself. Rotary arm wrappers are better suited for heavier, bulkier loads, have a higher cost and larger foot print.

Because the pallet stays still during wrapping and the rotary arm applies the stretch film, loads that are inconsistent or that have items like bags of grain, flour, pet food. etc, that may shift or fall if wrapped on a turn table wrapper, are best wrapped with a rotary arm wrapper. Some B loads and nearly all C loads benefit from being wrapped with a rotary arm stretch wrapper.
